Self-Love: The Importance Of It

Sometimes in life, it seems that you are showering everyone around you with love. Really there isn’t anything that you wouldn’t do for them. But when was the last time that you stopped and gave yourself a minute and some breathing space? It seems that you are missing on the most important part of love – Self Love. But why is this so? Why are you so supportive of others and missing out on loving yourself? Do you even see the need for giving yourself some Self-Love? Or do you think you might not be worthy of it?

Why is Self-Love Important?

It’s simple, all that love that you offer others has to come from somewhere within you. How can you love them if you don’t give yourself some love? How can you love them if you deem yourself non-existant in your eyes? Because by not giving yourself the well-deserved love, you are beating only one thought in your mind – “I am not worthy of love, not even my own.”
And once you start repeating that in yourself, by words or actions you will start to believe it. But that is not the truth! 

You ARE worthy! You should get self-love in your life!

You are an amazing, beautiful person that has given so much, and not it’s time to give something to yourself. It’s time to give yourself the love you deserve.

Is Self-Love Selfish?

Narcissism and Self Love are completely different things. We are not saying that you should have only one important person in your life (yourself). We are saying that YOU should be one of the most important persons in your life. Healthy self-love is a good thing to have in your life. It awakens your sense of self-respect and self-care. Not only that, but you will also feel more fulfilled in your own life. So, stop seeing all the little quirks about yourself and instead focus on all the good things. How many smiles have you given? How much love have you spread? And the most important thing, how much you love yourself.
